Seymour Christian Academy is a traditional private school serving students from kindergarten through the 12th grade. SCA is accredited by the Indiana Department of Education with all its benefits and requirements. Graduates from SCA receive a degree accredited by the state.
Our highest priority is the individual education of each student. Every child is given the personal attention necessary to achieve that end. Our student:teacher ratio is 10:1. Because of the small class sizes, teachers are able to take the time necessary to ensure that each child is receiving the help and/or challenges that they deserve. At SCA, your child isn’t a number, we are passionately committed to seeing your child reach their maximum potential and discover their strengths and gifts.
100% of our students graduate and those graduates receive the Indiana Core 40 diploma with Biblical requisites. Of our graduates, nearly 100% take the SAT and go on to the colleges of their choice. These choices have included; Indiana University • IUPUI • IUPUC • University of Indianapolis • Harrison College • Indiana Wesleyan • Tarleton State University • Chicago-Kent College of Law • Charleston Southern University • Ivy Tech • Indiana Bible College.
Our graduates excel beyond their contemporaries on the SAT. However, our students do far more than take tests. We expect our graduates to be able to apply knowledge to fluid situations in higher learning, careers, and life.
Our teachers are here because of a love for academics and a commitment to the social and spiritual development of each student.
Students at SCA expand their talents in choir and contemporary band classes as well as a variety of performance opportunities.
We provide students with the knowledge, opportunity, and equipment to produce professional level films, websites, and other media. Students film, edit, and produce a variety of video projects throughout the year.
Every year the SCA junior high and high school student body presents two live theatrical performances. All of our junior high and high school students experience a variety of theatrical opportunities.
